Happy New Decade

Report Date: January 8, 2020

Happy new decade to everyone. Hope everyone stayed safe and had a happy holiday.

2019 has come to a close and 2020 has begun. The fishing didn't let us down this past year. We were able to make some new customers and friends as long as cater to our repeat customers. Thank you all for your loyalty and friendships we have made over the years.

Inshore fishing has been very good over the past few weeks. We have been catching sheep head, cubera snapper, lady fish, jack crevelle, snook, and bluefish. All on light tackle using live bait. There have also been some large tarpon showing up with the cold fronts awaiting the shrimp to come out of there burrows.

Offshore fishing has been hot also. The sailfish are in on the reefs chasing ballyhoo and eating our live baits. There have also been some nice tunafish around, and the occasional mahi mahi. The kingfish have been slow lately but should pick up in the next month or so.

Going further offshore there has been a red hot swordfish bite going on. Boats are having up to 5 or 6 bites in a day. Ive heard of 3 captured over 500lbs in the past two days. They have been biting good both day and night.

Golden tile fish also just opened up which make for some great table fare. These fish average anywhere from 3-30lbs. While fishing for these there have been sculpen fish and some nice game sharks lurking around.

The weather is supposed to blow for the next week or so but I would imagine the fishing should stay good coming off this full moon.

Bahama fishing has been a good option when the weather is nice. The islands have been producing plenty wahoo, mahi, snapper, and many other species of fish.

Happy New Year to all. Lets make some resolutions come true and get tight!!!
